Crochet Pattern #1
Hi everyone, this is Haku.
I was inspired to create such a large piece, after watching Spirited Away, by Studio Ghibli. Growing up with Studio Ghibli's amazing characters and worlds has brought me inspiration from every corner. So, when my mum taught me how to crochet a blanket in mid 2021, the journey of Haku began. After searching for a Haku pattern and not finding the right one, I decided to create my own. I had an idea and ambition to bring one of my favourite characters to life! With basic knowledge of crochet and the patterns I started, making it up completely as I went along. 3 months later I finished his final stitch and sewed him together. I was so excited that I had finally finished him. I decided I wanted to show people and when I posted him on my Instagram page, he blew up! With thousands of likes and comments asking for his pattern! So here it is everyone, I'm so happy to share my ability to make my drawings and my favourite characters 3D, and now you guys can too! So here is Haku with many more patterns and artwork to come.
Hi everyone the Haku pattern is not made exactly like a regular crochet pattern, not all crochet patterns are written exactly the same, the stitches might not exactly match up (like 1 or 2 off) , I tried my absolute best to try and make it for people to make, after everyone asked for him, as I have only made him once, I haven’t tested it, but I have read over it countless times and have other crocheters read it. So if you need genuine help I’m happy to give advice! This is a disclaimer it is a hard pattern, I cant really explain how to do it for you, please consider before you buy that it will be difficult and you will doubt that it looks good, as I did, he works out in the end :) this is my first pattern there are easier ones to come.
